Man Allegedly Beaten by San Diego Sheriff's Deputy over Rude Remarks

RIVERSIDE, CA - Jovan Jiminez filed a $20 million federal civil rights lawsuit against San Diego County and several deputies for allegedly knocking him unconscious with a flashlight while he was being arrested on July 12, 2015. The incident allegedly happened after Jiminez made a rude remark to a deputy who was arresting him for misdemeanor battery after a fight at Harrah's Resort Southern California. No charges were eventually filed against him; the blow to his head left bruises and a wound that took several staples to close.
